Teeth discoloration is a normal process, but it can be worse for some people, especially if things like coffee, alcohol and cigarettes contribute to their discoloration. There are three main processes of tooth whitening that one can employ today.

The first, and most expensive, is dentist-supervised tooth whitening. While expensive, this method is required as seldom as once a year, and you won't have to worry whether you're doing things correctly since a dentist is taking care of it for you.

inexpensive methods of tooth whitening are over the counter whitening products, or take-home whitening kits that a dentist might prescribe for you. comparable to an in-office procedure, you should visit the dentist to make sure that your teeth are clean, your gums healthy and any cavities filled prior to using such a product. 201

These products lighten discoloration in much the same way, but the strength of peroxide is less, and it can therefore be used for longer periods of time, such as overnight, with the use of a bleaching tray. It is an inexpensive method and many of these products do work as promised.

So, whatever your lifestyle, and whatever your budget, there is probably a tooth whitening method out there for you if you decide that you too, want a million dollar smile. - 29879
