Ways to Cure Bad Breath If Brushing and Flossing Aren't Enough

By Jacob Jameson

Let's just get right to the point -- you feel that your breath has some room for improvement (to say the least), and you want to know how to cure bad breath. You've probably realized by now that most people seem to think that all you need to do to keep your breath fresh is to brush and floss regularly. If you've been trying the old brushing, flossing, and mouthwash strategy for any time whatsoever, you probably already know that it's just not good enough.

You probably wouldn't even be here paying attention to my words right now if this subject didn't hit home. Don't worry, because I understand what you're going through completely and I'm here to help.

The funny thing about bad breath is it is a condition that you can sort of "feel" that you have, even though most adults are too kind to tell you just how bad your breath really is. You can still tend to tell that others can sense it too though when you judge their reactions to you. Bad breath is a serious problem that has harsh effects on one's social life.

So, what leads to this lack of information about how to truly cure bad breath? I put the blame squarely on those who are supposed to help us, our dentists. All they tend to do is give the same old rehashed advice; make sure you are brushing after every meal, flossing at night time, and using mouthwash every now and then. Still have a problem? Buy some mints. Not only does this not work, it causes an embarrassing situation when people think that the only reason you have bad breath is that you are dirty or don't brush your teeth.

Remember what I said about how I have personally suffered from chronic bad breath for years? Well, I'll be the first to testify that for me, brushing and flossing were a futile way to attack my halitosis. I did my own research, and what I found was the the true cause of bad breath is a certain sulfur producing bacteria that very much enjoys living in your mouth.

This sulfur, created by the bacteria, is the cause of your bad breath. It "chooses" you because your mouth happens to be more hospitable to this bacteria than many other people's mouths.

So, you want to know how to cure bad breath if brushing and flossing isn't enough? The secret is to make your mouth less "friendly" to these odor causing bacteria. You must create a pH balanced, neutral environment where bacteria cannot flourish.

All of us chronic bad breath sufferers wish we could just throw on our clothes, lazily brush our teeth like everyone else, and then merrily go on our way, flossing when necessary. Unfortunately, that's not the way life worked out for us. Instead of trying the same things that work for others, it is time to start trying things that work for you. - 29879
