Today an electric toothbrush is not just a faster version of the normal, manual toothbrush. It is actually a very advanced piece of consumer electronic that can give you better brushing habits.

But an electric toothbrush does not only make it easier to brush your teeth. It can also help you to save money at the dentist by doing the work, the dentist normally get paid to do.

Keeping your teeth and gums healthy is actually quite simple. And you do not have to spend more than a few minutes each day to do it. The only things you have do, are to brush and flush daily; and see your dentist twice a year.

Just use a toothbrush and dental floss on a daily basis; that might sound simple. But if you get annoyed by doing it each day, it might be time to invest in an electric toothbrush.

An electric toothbrush does a much better job removing the disease-causing plaque in the hard-to-reach areas in the mouth than a manual toothbrush.

If plaque builds up between the gums and the teeth, it can start irritate the gums. This can lead to the most common form of gum disease gingivitis; also called inflamed gums. That can be avoided by removing plaque daily.

You can also ask the dentist to remove the plaque, but it is both cheaper and better if you do it yourself on a daily basis instead of only twice a year.

Do your teeth have a lot of stains from coffee, tea and cigarettes? Instead of using chemicals to whitening your teeth, you can use an electric toothbrush.

It is proven that an electric toothbrush does a much better job than a manual toothbrush when it comes to remove cigarette-, coffee and tea stains. Often you can see the result within a month.

It is unhealthy for your gums, if the pressure is to hard when your brush your teeth. Many modern electric toothbrushes have a pressure alarm that will tell you, how hard you can brush. If it is too hard, you will be alarmed. No more bleeding gums.

For a good mouth health, you need to brush your teeth for two minutes. And for most people it is longer than they expect. This is why most electric toothbrushes have a timer that sounds after two minutes. The more advanced toothbrushes even have a timer that sounds every 30 seconds. Then you are reminded to brush all four quadrants in the mouth equally.

An advanced electric toothbrush can be quite an investment. But if you think about how much you pay at the dentist, it might be worth it. If you can save just half of the dentist bill, the investment will be paid back in no time. And if you look at the internet, you might find some very good offers. - 29879
